National Service Scheme is a student – centered programme and it is complementary to education. It is a noble experiment in academic extension. It inculcates the spirit of voluntary work among students and teachers through sustained community interaction. It brings our academic institutions closer to the society. It is a link between the campus and community, the college and village, knowledge and action.  The overall aim of NSS is the Personality Development of students through community service. It gives an extension dimension to Higher Education system and orients the student youth to community service. We have NSS Unit in our school. It obtained very energetic, enthusiastic and active volunteers. They are doing different activities including social service, awareness programmes (Health awareness, addiction of drugs) . Environment enrichment programme, production oriented programmes, Relief and Rehabilitation work during Natural calamities, Education and Recreation etc.

Every year 50 percent of the NSS volunteers are participated in special camp which is for seven days duration. Special camping forms an integral part of NSS. It has special appeal to the youth as it provides unique opportunities to the students for group living, collective experience, sharing and constant interaction with community service
